Andrew Yuille has won the Nat Phillips Pursuit Trophy held on Sunday October 15th.
Six sailors competed for the trophy with Andrew (LN 446) winning the first race ahead of Gary Adshead (OK 1998), Clive Evison (P 1355) and Duncan Watts (LN 431). In the second race, Andrew again finished in the lead with Clive chasing hard and finishing second, Peter Withrington (LN 442) was third, Duncan fourth, Mary Webb (LN 178) fifth and Gary retired. In the final race of the day it was a very close battle between three of the Lightnings and Duncan managed to pull clear just as the hooter sounded at the end of the race with Andrew second and Peter third.
With two wins and a second place, Andrew Yuille therefore won the Nat Phillips Trophy with four points, Duncan was second on nine points and Clive third on twelve points.
