The final round of the Cookham Reach Sailing Club Winter Series was cancelled due to EA red boards being posted along the entire length of the River Thames after heavy rains in the middle of the previous week. Due to heavy rain throughout November and December only three races were sailed in the entire series, the worst conditions for a Winter Series since 2011.
From the two rounds sailed in the Winter Series Andrew Boxer (OK 2196) won the series with 83 points ahead of Gareth Jones (OK 2115) with 58.1 points and Jerome Dreux (OK 2007) in third with 56.1 points.
The Winter Series also holds a Personal Handicap with adjustments to corrected times based on an initial Personal Handicap determined by the Sailing Committee, based on recent performance. The Personal Handicap is adjusted weekly based on race results. The Personal Handicap was won by James Long (OK 2094) ahead of Andrew Boxer and Gary Adshead (OK 1998) in third.
The Series trophies will be presented at the Christmas Social and Prize Giving ceremony to be held at the clubhouse on December 22nd.
