The Summer Series completed at the end of July with Mary Webb winning the Lightning class and Andrew Boxer winning the Handicap class.

The Lightning class had eleven competitors with Mary sitting out the last round and Tricia Evison sailing, but she didn’t manage to gain enough points to overtake Mary and finished a point behind. Tanja van Wynguaard finished third. The class was very competitive with Mary, Tricia, Tanja, Clive Evison, Nigel Webb, Christine Roy, Kevin Singleton and Joshua Lindley all taking race wins during the Summer.

The Handicap class was equally close with Andrew beating Jerome Dreux by two points with James Long a distant third, all three sailors competed in OK dinghies. The Handicap had a good turnout with fourteen sailors in six dinghy classes (OK, Enterprise, Laser, Merlin Rocket, Topper and Solo) and Andrew, Jerome, James, Harrison West (T), Peter Wyatt (E), Richard Cartwright (E) and Pat Blake (E) all took race wins.
