If you own an unpowered boat you need to register to use it on the River Thames. The Environment Agency provide this registration scheme, it’s now time to renew so you are ready for the new sailing year.

How to renew

The quickest way to renew paying by credit or debit over the phone, called 0330 159 1983 (the EA line is available Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm).

Alternatively, you can download a form from the EA website and apply by post.

The EA try to process the application as quickly as possible, but it can take up to 10 working days from the day they receive the payment and it will take a further few days for the licence sticker to arrive in the post.

Paying by direct debit

The form link above also provides the option to pay by direct debit and spread the cost over six or ten months.
