The final race of the August Frolic didn’t see either of the contenders racing and Andrew Boxer (OK 2196) took the series after taking ten wins from the twenty four sailed.
The final race of the series saw Gary Adshead (OK 1990) take four wins in good wind conditions. The first race saw a dominant display with Gary taking the win after two laps ahead of Nick Reuter (L 125425) by seven minutes with Maddie Harris in Lightning 279. In race two, Gary had another lonely race and took the win, behind Maddie and Mary Webb (LN 178) battled through the one lap race and were separated by twelve seconds at the finish. Nick was fourth ahead of Jerome Dreux with Ray Swinney making a rare outing in Laser 120341 and Keira Swinney (LN 114) just behind.
After the lunch break, the Salem brothers joined the race with Maddie, Mary, Keira and Ray sitting out the afternoon races. Gary took another dominant win with a four minute gap after three laps ahead of Jerome with Leo third, Nick fourth and Mike fifth. In the final race, Gary again won ahead of Jerome, Leo and Mike.
